Frequently asked questions
Who is the highest-earning poker player of all time?
Bryn Kenney of the United States leads the all-time live tournament money list. Figures at that level move constantly, so treat any number as correct at the date it was verified.
How are players assigned to a country here?
By nationality, following the way the Hendon Mob money lists work — not by where a player currently lives. Several players appear on one country's list while being based in another, and individual profiles say so.
Do these earnings include online poker?
No. The figures are live tournament earnings. Several players have substantial separate online records, and we note that on a profile where it is a meaningful part of the story.
Why do the figures differ from other sites?
Mostly timing. Career earnings change every time a player cashes, so two sites that verified on different dates will disagree. Every figure here carries the date we checked it.
Which countries over-perform relative to their size?
Canada and the United Kingdom most obviously — both produce far more elite tournament players than their populations would suggest, largely because of unusually large early online poker communities.
