Koray Aldemir

Koray Aldemir is one of two Germans to have won the WSOP Main Event, following Hossein Ensan's 2019 victory. Born in Berlin in 1990, he was a high-roller regular for years — third in the 2016 $111,111 One Drop, a Triton win in Manila in 2017 — before the result that put him in the history books: the 2021 Main Event in Las Vegas, where he beat a field of 6,650 for $8 million.
Aldemir plays a patient, mathematically tight style and has kept a low profile since; he defended his title in 2022 with a 75th-place finish and finished third in that year's WSOP Player of the Year race. He holds two bracelets and lives in Vienna.
