#39United States ranking

Daniel Cates is 39th on The Hendon Mob's United States all-time money list, with $19,084,973 in recorded live tournament winnings as of 4 October 2026.

He is better known by the screen name jungleman12, built on an online cash-game career that passed $11 million by 2014 and made him the biggest online winner of 2010; a 2010 heads-up challenge against Tom Dwan had him more than $1 million ahead after 19,335 hands. Born in Bowie, Maryland in 1989, he moved up from $0.25/$0.50 to $25/$50 in two years by seeking out tough games rather than soft ones.

Live, his signature achievement is two WSOP bracelets in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship — 2021 and 2022, the first back-to-back wins in that event — plus two WPT titles and one EPT title.
