Danish poker players — the all-time live money list

Denmark's all-time live money list is three tall names and then a cliff. Henrik Hecklen ($14.29m), Peter Eastgate ($11.13m) and Gus Hansen ($10.65m) sit above $10 million; fourth place is $5.51 million. What makes the Danish list worth reading is that those three arrived at similar totals by completely different routes.

Three ways to ten million

Peter Eastgate's total is one tournament. Winning the $10,000 World Championship event at the 2008 World Series of Poker paid $9,152,416 — roughly 82 per cent of his $11,131,450 career figure, across 27 recorded cashes in all. The Hendon Mob now places him 173rd on the global all-time list against a best-ever rank of 6th, which is the arithmetic of a career-defining score and then a long step away from the circuit.

Gus Hansen is the mirror image: 74 recorded cashes, and a largest single score of $1,714,800 for second in the $25,000 + 500 WPT World Championship Championship Event in Las Vegas in April 2008. No Dane in the top three has a smaller best cash relative to a bigger total. He is 177th globally now against a best-ever 11th — and 29th on the Hendon Mob's popularity ranking, higher than any other Danish player, which is a reminder that fame and current form are measured separately.

Henrik Hecklen is the one who built his number in the modern high-roller era, and it shows in the rankings rather than the totals: 121st globally against a best-ever 93rd, the narrowest gap of the three. His biggest result is a win — the €100,000 Triton Main Event in Madrid in May 2022 for €2,170,509, or $2,293,679. He is resident in Aarhus.

Below the cliff

Frederik Rydahl Brink ($5,511,702) and Martin Dam ($5,137,044) hold fourth and fifth, about $375,000 apart. From sixth down the list tightens considerably: Rehne Pedersen is tenth on $2,303,411 with four players inside roughly $250,000 of him, and Søren Kongsgaard Nielsen is thirteenth just short of the $2 million mark on $1,992,204. For those names we currently publish rank, name and total from the money list itself — each record says so rather than implying depth it does not have. Their individual results are on the list to add.

About these figures

All totals here are recorded live tournament earnings from The Hendon Mob, read on 2 October 2026, and they only ever move upwards as results are added. Figures for the top three come from each player's own profile page; ranks four to fifteen come from the Denmark all-time money list. Online winnings are not included in any of them, which for a Nordic market with a long online history means these numbers understate several careers. Where our figure differs slightly from the ranking page — Hecklen's total, for instance — the profile page is what we publish.
