Martin Jacobson
Stockholm, Sweden, Sweden
Sweden's most successful tournament player by a wide margin, and the country's only World Series of Poker Main Event champion. Jacobson won the 2014 Main Event for $10,000,000 — still his best result and still one of the largest single prizes in poker history — having come to the final table as the shortest stack of the nine.
His career total of $18.49m puts him 89th on the all-time money list, with a best-ever rank of 9th. He was born in Stockholm and now lives in London, which is where most of his live schedule is based.
He has not slowed down: in June 2026 he finished second in the $3,000 six-handed bracelet event at the WSOP for $327,370, and cashed twice more in Las Vegas that summer. Before the Main Event he was already one of Europe's most consistent high-stakes tournament regulars, with deep runs across the EPT and WSOP Europe.
