Monday Turbo Challenge — MERKUR Spielbank Hannover (weekly)
12 Oct – 28 Dec 2026 · MERKUR Spielbank Hannover, Germany
Hannover runs the only weekly tournament in Lower Saxony, and at €200 plus €20 Taxe it is also the state's most expensive regular event. Cards are in the air at 19:00 every Monday, and one re-entry is permitted.
One detail sets it apart from the rest of the German weekly circuit: 3% of the prize money is withheld for a ranking jackpot that is paid out every six months. Regulars are therefore building towards a second pool on top of each Monday's prizes, which is worth factoring into the real cost of playing the series rather than a single night.
Seating for the house's cash games is from 18:45 on the poker floor and there is normally no waiting list, but on tournament days the cash tables open late and the floorman keeps a list — tournament entrants can only join a cash game after busting. Lower Saxony's minimum age is 21, against 18 in most of Germany.

Frequently asked questions
When is the Monday Turbo Challenge?
Every Monday at 19:00 at MERKUR Spielbank Hannover.
What is the ranking jackpot?
3% of each week's prize money is withheld and paid out in a separate jackpot twice a year, so regular players accumulate towards a second pool.
Can you play the cash game as well?
Yes, but not simultaneously. On tournament days the cash tables open later, the floorman keeps a waiting list, and tournament entrants can only join a cash game once they have busted.
