Europe's longest-running no-limit hold'em festival returns to the Royal Dublin Society from 18 to 29 March 2027, with a EUR 2.5 million guarantee on the EUR 1,150 Main Event and an online satellite programme that has been running since September 2026.
What the 2027 schedule guarantees
Three numbers were fixed when the satellites launched: EUR 2.5 million guaranteed on the EUR 1,150 Main Event, EUR 1 million on the Mini Irish Open, and EUR 1 million on the Luxon Pay Mystery Bounty. The full event-by-event schedule is published closer to the festival; in 2026 it ran to 89 tournaments.
Qualifying online
The iPoker network carries the official satellites and opened them unusually early, on 7 September 2026, running through to 8 March 2027. Guaranteed across that window are 115 Main Event seats, 112 Mini Irish Open seats and more than 180 packages worth EUR 2,250 each, of which EUR 1,100 is a travel contribution. Package qualification is two-step and flighted: daily EUR 150 Day 1s feed a Sunday Day 2, and there is no direct buy-in to the Day 2. Seat-only qualifiers at EUR 50 run five days a week, and there is a parallel EUR 2 micro-stakes flighted series.
One change worth knowing: tickets won in the 2027 satellites can be used at the Irish Open's overseas festivals, not only in Dublin.
How big 2026 was
The April 2026 festival, the 47th, drew more than 5,000 Main Event entries and over 32,000 entries in total across 89 events, paying out more than EUR 14.5 million. Narcis-Gabriel Nedelcu won the Main Event.
