Natural8 in Hong Kong: who runs it, what it is licensed by, and what it does not tell you
Natural8 is one of the rooms this site lists for Hong Kong, and the most useful thing we can tell you about it is something it does not say. We read its terms and conditions in full on 8 October 2026, and they contain no list of permitted countries, no list of restricted countries, and no mention of Hong Kong anywhere. The only two places named in the whole document are Curacao and Anjouan — the operator's own jurisdictions.
That is not a gap in our research. It is the operator's position, stated plainly in its own disclaimer: whether you are allowed to play is your problem, not theirs. What follows sets out who actually runs the room, what licence it holds, and what that silence means if you are sitting in Hong Kong. It is general information, not legal advice.
Natural8
Natural8 runs on the GG Network with the same games and player pool, aimed at players in Asia-Pacific markets.

Is Natural8 legal in Hong Kong?
Nobody authoritative says yes, and nobody at Natural8 says anything at all.
Hong Kong itself has no licensed online poker. As our Hong Kong page sets out from the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau's own policy statement, the Gambling Ordinance (Cap. 148) treats gambling as illegal apart from three narrow categories — Jockey Club horse racing, authorised football betting and the Mark Six under the Betting Duty Ordinance; premises licensed by appointed public officers, such as mahjong parlours; and the section 3 exemption the bureau summarises as mainly social gambling. Online poker is in none of them, so there is no Hong Kong licence for Natural8 or anyone else to hold.
Natural8's own terms do not fill that silence. The document's closing disclaimer puts the obligation on you: it is your sole responsibility to make sure you have the legal right to use the services from the jurisdiction you live in or access them from, it is not the operator's intention that anyone use the services where online gambling is illegal, and the fact that the site is reachable from a country is not to be read as an offer or an invitation to use it there.
Two sections look as though they might carry a country list and do not. Section 7, headed Restrictions, is about conduct — not using the site unlawfully, not reselling the service, not reverse-engineering the software, and the operator's right to block IP addresses from sharing tables. Section 14, Prohibited Uses, covers cheating, collusion and circumventing security. Neither names a single territory.
So the honest answer for a Hong Kong player is that this is a decision you are making on your own account, on an operator that has declined to tell you whether it thinks you may. If the question matters to you, ask a Hong Kong lawyer, not a poker site and not us.
Who actually operates Natural8
The terms give two different corporate pictures, and both are worth knowing.
The introduction says Natural8 is operated by Run Good N.V., registration number 150149, of 9 Abraham de Veerstraat, Willemstad, Curacao, and that the agreement is governed solely by the laws and courts of Curacao, exclusively and without exception. Clause 27.5 adds that online gambling debts are enforceable in Curacao.
The footer of the same document goes further: Run Good N.V. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hume Tree Investments Limited, registration number 1902601, registered at the Vistra Corporate Services Centre, Road Town, Tortola, VG1110, British Virgin Islands. And the licence is not Curacao's at all — the footer states that Natural8.com is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, under licence number ALSI-192407036-FI2.
That split runs into the complaints procedure. Clause 25 routes a dispute through customer support and then a support manager; clause 25.5 says that if you are still unhappy you may seek external resolution from the Gaming Board of Anjouan. Clause 26 says the terms are governed by the laws of Curacao. A player with a serious complaint is therefore looking at a Comoros regulator applying a contract governed by Curacao law, written by a Curacao company owned in the British Virgin Islands. None of that is hidden — it is all in the published terms — but it is a long way from the kind of recourse a locally licensed operator offers, and it is the single most important thing to understand before you deposit.
What players get
Natural8 is a skin on the GGPoker network rather than a standalone room: its own site links out to GGPoker's network security and ecology policy as the operator's integrity statement. In practice that means shared traffic and a shared game selection, which is why the room is listed here at all — liquidity is the one thing a Hong Kong player cannot get locally.
We deliberately do not reproduce bonus figures or rake-race numbers on this page. Promotional terms change faster than we can verify them, and clause 11 of the terms lets the operator vary promotions at its discretion. Read the offer on the operator's own promotions page on the day you sign up, and read clause 11 and the separate bonus policy with it.
Signing up, verification and withdrawals
Three points from the terms are worth knowing before you start rather than after.
Age. Clause 3.1.1 requires you to be at least 18, or older where the law that applies to you sets a higher age. Our Hong Kong market page records 18 as the age we hold for this market.
Identity. Clause 3.1 also has you warrant that your registration details are correct and that the money you deposit does not come from anything illegal. Clause 3.2 commits the operator to Curacao anti-money-laundering rules, including filing suspicious-transaction reports without telling the player, and suspending or blocking accounts and withholding funds where required.
Withdrawals. Clause 3.5 is the one that catches people out: a copy of a current identity document and a proof of address must be collected before a withdrawal request can be processed. Get that done early, not when you are trying to cash out. Payments are handled by MoneyMatrix Ltd, a Malta company registered as C64593, and by Run Good N.V. itself.
Tax, and the alternative that most Hong Kong players actually use
We are not going to tell you how a win would be taxed. Hong Kong's betting duty under the Betting Duty Ordinance falls on the authorised operator rather than on a player at an offshore site, and how an individual's winnings are treated is a question for a Hong Kong tax adviser. We would rather say that plainly than guess in public.
The alternative is the one the money list already shows. Hong Kong's leading earners did not build their totals online or at home: they built them in Macau, on the Triton Super High Roller Series and at festivals across Asia. If you want live poker and you are in Hong Kong, travel is the established route, and our player pages are the record of where that has actually led.
If it stops being a game
The Hong Kong government's Ping Wo Fund finances four counselling and treatment centres, run by Caritas, the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Zion Social Service and Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service. They share a gambling counselling hotline on 1834 633, and the fund's public education site is donotgamble.org.hk. The call is free to make.

Frequently asked questions
Does Natural8 allow players from Hong Kong?
Natural8's terms and conditions, read in full on 8 October 2026, do not say. They contain no list of permitted or restricted countries and do not mention Hong Kong at all; the only territories named anywhere in the document are Curacao and Anjouan. The closing disclaimer puts the obligation on the player: it is your sole responsibility to ensure you have the legal right to use the services from the jurisdiction you reside in or access them from. This is general information, not legal advice.
Who licenses and operates Natural8?
Per its own terms, Natural8 is operated by Run Good N.V., registration number 150149, of 9 Abraham de Veerstraat, Willemstad, Curacao, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hume Tree Investments Limited of Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The licence is held in the Union of Comoros: the site states it is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan under licence number ALSI-192407036-FI2.
Which law applies if something goes wrong?
Clause 26 of the terms says they are governed by the laws of Curacao, and clause 27.5 states that online gambling debts are enforceable in Curacao. Clause 25.5 directs an unresolved complaint to the Gaming Board of Anjouan. So the regulator and the governing law sit in two different jurisdictions, neither of them Hong Kong.
Is online poker licensed in Hong Kong at all?
No. The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau's published policy is that under the Gambling Ordinance (Cap. 148) all gambling is illegal apart from Jockey Club horse racing, authorised football betting and the Mark Six, premises licensed by appointed public officers such as mahjong parlours, and the section 3 exemption it describes as mainly social gambling. Online poker falls outside all three, so no operator holds a Hong Kong licence for it.
What do I need before I can withdraw?
Clause 3.5 requires a copy of a current identity document and a proof of address to be collected before a withdrawal request is processed. Clause 3.1.1 sets the minimum age at 18, or higher where the law applying to you requires it. Submitting documents at sign-up rather than at cash-out is the practical advice.
Does this page tell me the current bonus?
No, deliberately. Clause 11 of the terms lets the operator vary promotions at its discretion, and a figure we verified weeks ago may be wrong today. Read the offer on the operator's own promotions page on the day you sign up, together with clause 11 and the separate bonus policy.
