GGPoker Hong Kong: what Hong Kong players need to know
GGPoker lists Hong Kong among the markets it serves and takes Hong Kong dollar deposits, and its network sister site Natural8 is one of the most popular rooms in the city. Before you sign up, read the legal section: Hong Kong has no licence for online poker and the Gambling Ordinance is stricter than most players assume.
GGPoker
Home of the WSOP Online, GGPoker runs the biggest guaranteed tournaments and the busiest cash games online. Locally licensed skins (GGPoker.uk, GGPoker.de, GGPoker.nl, GGPoker.ca in Ontario) serve regulated markets.

Is GGPoker legal in Hong Kong?
GGPoker is licensed offshore, not in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's Gambling Ordinance permits gambling only through the Hong Kong Jockey Club or in narrow social settings, and makes betting with an unauthorised operator an offence for the bettor as well as the operator. Enforcement has concentrated on illegal bookmakers rather than individuals playing poker online, but the position for the player is grey at best. This is general information, not legal advice.
What GGPoker offers Hong Kong players
The full GG client in English and Traditional Chinese, the WSOP Online bracelet events, GGMillion$ and the Sunday majors, cash games from micro stakes with Rush & Cash, All-In Insurance and the Fish Buffet rewards programme. Short deck, the format that grew out of the Macau games, runs around the clock. Deposits are usually by e-wallet or crypto because several Hong Kong card issuers decline gambling transactions; minimum age 18.
Alternatives
Natural8 shares GGPoker's player pool with Asia-focused promotions, and CoinPoker is a crypto-only option. WPT Global's own terms exclude Hong Kong, so we do not list it. For live poker, Macau is an hour away.
Playing responsibly
Use the deposit and loss limits in the account settings, and if gambling stops being fun contact the Tung Wah Group's Even Centre or the Caritas Addicted Gamblers Counselling Centre, both free and confidential.
