River Cree Resort & Casino

River Cree sits on Enoch Cree Nation land immediately west of Edmonton, and its poker room is the largest dedicated player-versus-player room in the Edmonton area. The room has fourteen tables with USB chargers at the seats, its own bar and food service, an enclosed smoking room and a dedicated poker team, and it runs on a mixture of cash games and a daily and weekly tournament schedule. The room sits just off the smoke-free main casino floor, which itself carries 815 slot machines; the wider property adds the smoke-friendly Embers room and a total of 1,665 slots, 10 VLTs and more than 40 table games. The casino's own poker page advertises round-the-clock poker from Thursday to Sunday and 11:00–03:00 earlier in the week, with a bad beat jackpot and waiting-list sign-up by phone or through the PokerAtlas app. One caveat worth noting if you are planning a midweek session: the same page states both "Mondays–Wednesdays 11:00 am – 3:00 am" in its body text and "Wednesdays 11:00 am – 3:00 am, Thursdays–Sundays 24 hours" in its hours panel, so Wednesday opening is worth a phone call before you drive out.
