Frequently asked questions
Does Carson Valley Inn have a real poker room?
Yes. The property publishes a three-table, non-smoking poker room with player-versus-player cash games and tournaments, not just dealer-banked table games. We verified this on its own poker room page on 6 October 2026.
What stakes does the room spread?
The published line-up runs from $1/$2 no-limit Texas Hold'em and $2/$10 spread-limit Hold'em to $4/$8 Omaha hi/lo with half kills on Thursday afternoons, plus a $2/$3/$5 to-go no-limit game on the first Saturday of the month.
When is the room open?
Cash games open at noon Tuesday to Saturday and at 9am on Sunday, per the property's own schedule. The room is not listed as open on Monday. Check by phone before travelling, as small-room schedules change.
Where is it?
1627 Hwy 395 N in Minden, Nevada, in the Carson Valley south of Carson City and roughly 45 minutes from Reno.
