ClubWPT Gold in Nevada: sweepstakes poker alongside the regulated WSOP.com
Nevada is unusual: it has licensed real-money online poker (WSOP.com, from 21) and sweepstakes poker side by side. ClubWPT Gold serves Nevada residents from 18, which makes it the only online poker option for 18-to-20-year-olds in the state and a no-deposit alternative for everyone else. Here is how it fits into the Las Vegas picture.

How it works in Nevada
ClubWPT Gold is a sweepstakes platform, not a gambling site: Gold Coins are for play and have no cash value, Sweeps Coins come free with Gold Coin purchases, daily bonuses, promotions or a mail-in request, and prizes won with Sweeps Coins can be redeemed for cash after identity verification. Because it operates under sweepstakes law rather than the Nevada Gaming Control Board's licence, the minimum age is 18 rather than 21. This is general information, not legal advice.
ClubWPT Gold or WSOP.com?
If you are 21 or over and in Nevada, WSOP.com is the regulated real-money room, with shared liquidity with New Jersey and Michigan and online bracelet events every summer; it is the natural home for serious play. ClubWPT Gold is the choice for players under 21, for anyone who wants to play without depositing, and for the Passport packages it awards to live WPT events — including the WPT World Championship at the Wynn each December, a taxi ride from anywhere in Las Vegas.
