The Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs

The Silks Poker Room occupies the third floor of Tampa Bay Downs, the thoroughbred track outside Tampa, and is the Tampa Bay area's main alternative to the Hard Rock room. The track puts it at 25 tables with daily live-action cash games and tournaments, in a smoke-free room with plasma screens, tableside massage, dining and complimentary drinks for players. Opening hours are 10am to 2am Sunday to Thursday and 10am to 3am on Friday and Saturday. The room also deals house-banked table games — Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Three Card Poker and DJ Wild — which are played against the dealer rather than between players, so the poker tables and those games are separate offers under one roof. Unusually for a Florida card room, it stays open through the track's racing off-season, when simulcast wagering and the golf practice facility also keep running.
