ClubWPT Gold in Florida: online sweepstakes poker next to the Seminole Hard Rock

Florida is a huge live poker state — pari-mutuel card rooms from 18, the Seminole Hard Rock's WPT festivals — and an empty online one. ClubWPT Gold is the way Floridians play poker online: a sweepstakes platform open from 18, no deposit required, and with two WPT stops in the state itself among the live events its packages lead to.

Is it legal in Florida?

No regulated real-money online poker exists in Florida; the Seminole compact covers online sports betting, not poker. Sweepstakes poker operates under promotional-contest law: Gold Coins for play with no cash value, Sweeps Coins obtained free (with purchases, daily bonuses or by mail-in request) and redeemable for cash prizes. No purchase is necessary. Sweepstakes gaming has drawn attention from Florida regulators in the past, so we review this page regularly; this is general information, not legal advice.

What Floridians get

Hold'em and Omaha cash tables, sit-and-gos and daily Sweeps Coin tournaments, plus Passport packages to live WPT events. Florida is one of the best-served states on the tour: the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open in January and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in spring are both at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, near Fort Lauderdale, and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open follows in summer.
