Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood

Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, is the East Coast's most important tournament poker venue. The resort opened in 2004 on the Seminole Tribe's Hollywood reservation, and its 2019 expansion added the 450-foot Guitar Hotel, a tower shaped like a pair of back-to-back guitars that has become a South Florida landmark. The poker room hosts several of the biggest festivals in the United States: the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open each summer (rebranded under that name in 2013), the Lucky Hearts Poker Open in January and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in spring, the latter two carrying World Poker Tour main events with buy-ins in the $3,500–$10,000 range and multi-million-dollar prize pools. Florida has no regulated online poker, so for many local players the Hard Rock is where poker happens.
