Singapore poker players: the record so far, and where to read instead

No Singapore player profile is published here yet, and this page says so rather than filling the space. The Singaporean list is one of the harder ones to build honestly, and the reasons are worth setting out.

Player profiles for Singapore are being added.

Why the list is empty

Each country money list here is built profile by profile from recorded live tournament results, with every figure checked against its source page before publication. Singapore has not had that pass done.

Why Singapore is harder than most

Singapore sits at the centre of a regional circuit — Manila, Macau, Jeju, and more recently Vietnam and Cambodia — and the high-stakes end of Asian poker has long been played by a small, highly mobile group. For a money list that creates two specific problems.

The first is attribution. Public result databases record nationality or stated residence, and in a city-state with a large expatriate population and many players holding ties to several countries, the two frequently differ. A player who appears under Singapore in one database may appear under another country elsewhere, and a list assembled carelessly either inflates or empties itself depending on which field it trusts.

The second is that the region's biggest results come from super-high-roller fields. One deep run in a Triton event can exceed an entire career of open-field tournaments, so a Singaporean list can be reordered completely by a single tournament — which makes the date a figure was verified more important here than almost anywhere else.

What we have established about poker in Singapore

Our Singapore market page is the one to read: it covers the two integrated resorts, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa, and the legal position on playing online. That answers what most people arriving here are looking for. This is general information, not legal advice.

Worth knowing before a visit: entry to the casinos at the integrated resorts is treated differently for residents and for visitors, so check the current entry conditions on the operator's own site rather than relying on a summary.

When this page will change

When the Singaporean money list has been read and the profiles verified against their sources, they will appear here with earnings and the date each figure was checked.

Frequently asked questions

Are any Singapore poker players listed here?

Not yet. The Singaporean money list has not been read and verified, so no profile has been published. The page says so rather than showing an unchecked list.

Where can you play live poker in Singapore?

At the two integrated resorts, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa. Our Singapore market page covers both, along with the legal position on online play. Entry conditions differ for residents and visitors, so check the operator's own site before travelling.

Why is a Singaporean money list difficult to compile?

Attribution and volatility. In a city-state with a large expatriate population, a player's recorded nationality and stated residence often differ between databases; and because the region's largest results come from super-high-roller fields, one tournament can reorder the entire list.

How are these money lists verified?

Each profile's figures are read from the source page and stored with the date of that check, so a reader can see how current a total is rather than having to assume.
