Chile's Ovalle Series of Poker returns this week with CLP 40 million guaranteed
The second Ovalle Series of Poker Prime of 2026 opens on Wednesday 4 November at Ovalle Casino & Resort in the Coquimbo region and runs to Sunday the 8th. Sixteen tournaments are scheduled across the five days, led by a CLP 500,000 Main Event with a CLP 40 million guarantee and a CLP 1,000,000 High Roller guaranteeing CLP 20 million. It is the first Chilean festival calendar poker-in.com holds in full.
Chile's live poker calendar is thin by regional standards, and the Ovalle Series of Poker is the circuit trying to change that. Its November edition, the second Prime of 2026, begins on Wednesday 4 November at Ovalle Casino & Resort and finishes on Sunday the 8th.
The published programme lists sixteen tournaments. The Main Event is the centrepiece: CLP 500,000 to enter, re-entry at CLP 350,000, a stated guarantee of CLP 40 million, and three starting flights spread across 5 and 6 November, including a late turbo flight. Survivors return on the Saturday afternoon. The High Roller is the largest buy-in of the week at CLP 1,000,000, guaranteeing CLP 20 million, and its published conditions keep registration open deep into the final day.
Around those two sit the events that set the festival's actual price of admission. A CLP 350,000 Welcome Mystery Bounty opens proceedings on the Wednesday and qualifies the top 15 per cent of the combined entry and re-entry field to a final the following afternoon. A Mini Main Event costs CLP 150,000, two single-day freezeouts are CLP 200,000 each, and a ladies event at CLP 30,000 is the cheapest seat of the week. Satellites award Main Event entries for CLP 40,000 and High Roller entries for CLP 70,000.
The venue is worth noting as much as the schedule. Ovalle sits in the Coquimbo region, some 400 kilometres north of Santiago, and the circuit's own stated purpose is to build a competitive hub outside the capital rather than add another Santiago stop. Five OSOP editions have now been staged there.
Chile is a licensed casino market regulated by the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego, and the minimum age for casino play is 18. Live poker is entertainment and a game of skill played for stakes you can afford to lose; nothing here should be read as a route to income. Buy-ins and guarantees above are the figures published for this edition and are quoted in Chilean pesos — festival programmes in the region move at short notice, so confirm a start time with the room before travelling for one event.
