YaPoker in Mexico: the Winning Poker Network room, and the 10% rake rule before any withdr
YaPoker is one of the rooms this site lists for Mexico, and we had never read its terms properly. We have now: the end-user licence agreement was read in full from the operator's own page on 14 October 2026.
Two findings matter more than anything in the lobby. First, the document names no restricted or prohibited countries whatsoever — the only jurisdiction named anywhere in it is Curacao — so whether you may play from Mexico is a question the operator declines to answer. Second, and this is the one to read before you deposit, clause 6.1.2 requires you to generate poker rake equal to at least ten per cent of your cumulative deposits before a withdrawal will be authorised at all.
Poker is a game of skill played for entertainment. This page is general information, not legal advice.
Ya Poker
Ya Poker is the Spanish- and Portuguese-language skin of the Winning Poker Network, sharing tables with Americas Cardroom.

The clause that decides whether you can get your money out
Clause 6.1 of the agreement is headed PRIMARY PRODUCT MANDATE AND MANDATORY POKER RAKE REQUIREMENT, and it is the most consequential thing in the document.
Clause 6.1.2 states that to be eligible to request a withdrawal of any funds — and it lists initial deposit balances, sportsbook winnings, casino payouts and horse racing returns — all account holders, regardless of their primary gaming preference, must generate cumulative poker rake, or paid tournament entry fees, equal to at least ten per cent of the total value of their cumulative deposits before withdrawal authorisation will be granted.
Clause 6.1.3 removes the obvious workaround: wagering in the sportsbook, casino or racebook does not count toward, reduce or substitute for the requirement, whatever the volume, because those wagers generate no poker rake. Clause 6.1.4 says accounts used exclusively or predominantly for sports betting, casino games or horse racing will have withdrawal requests withheld until the requirement is satisfied, and reserves the network's right to close accounts that try to meet it through collusion, chip-dumping or artificial rake generation.
Read plainly, that means a deposit is not freely withdrawable on arrival. Ten per cent of everything you have ever deposited has to come back out as rake or tournament fees first. It is disclosed, it is in the terms, and it is the single most important number on this page — which is exactly why we are printing it instead of a bonus figure.
Who YaPoker actually is
Clause 6.1.1 answers a question the homepage does not: YaPoker is part of the Winning Poker Network, and the clause names the network's rooms — Ya Poker, ACR Poker, Black Chip Poker, Americas Cardroom and TruePoker. The network is described as operating primarily as a peer-to-peer online poker platform, with the sportsbook, casino and racebook as ancillary products offered to active poker players.
That is useful to a Mexican player for one practical reason: the room is a skin on a shared player pool rather than a standalone site, and liquidity is the thing a local market cannot supply on its own.
The corporate picture is thinner than we would like. The agreement says the games are owned and operated by "Ya Poker", that the licence to play the games is governed under the laws of Curacao, and that a sublicence is granted thereunder to International Processing Services S.A. Payment processing for deposits and cash-outs is governed by the laws applicable to Yatahay, Limited as the payments services provider. There is no company registration number, no registered address, no named gaming regulator and no licence number anywhere in the document — we looked for all of them.
No restricted-country list at all
This is the second finding, and it is a genuine absence rather than a gap in our reading. We searched the agreement for a restricted-territory clause, a prohibited-country list and for Mexico by name. There is none, and Mexico does not appear.
What the agreement does instead is put the question back on you. It states that you are prohibited from using the website or the software if you are under 18, if you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, or if you are connecting from a jurisdiction from which such use is prohibited or from which it would be illegal for the operator to offer the software. Clause 3.2 adds that no licence is granted to any user located in a jurisdiction where the offer or the use would violate applicable law.
So the operator has not excluded Mexico, and it has not said Mexico is permitted either. It has said: you work it out.
What Mexican law actually provides
Our Mexico page sets out the framework in full. The short version is that gambling runs on the Ley Federal de Juegos y Sorteos of 1947, administered by the Dirección General de Juegos y Sorteos within SEGOB, and there is no standalone online licence. Article 85 of the 2004 regulation lets an establishment that already holds a permit take bets by electronic means using a SEGOB-approved control system, which is how online brands reach Mexican players — through arrangements with existing permit holders.
YaPoker's agreement names no SEGOB permit, no permit holder and no Mexican authorisation. Nothing in Mexican law makes it an offence for an individual to play; the legal weight sits on operators and permit holders. But a room outside the permit structure is also outside whatever supervision that structure provides, and there is no Mexican regulator to complain to about an account.
One change worth knowing: the federal IEPS gaming tax rose from 30% to 50% on 1 January 2026 and now explicitly covers offshore operators serving Mexican users. That is a tax on operators, and the usual consequence for players is thinner promotions rather than a bill.
If something goes wrong
The agreement's dispute clause is short and one-sided. Any controversy or dispute between players, or between a player and the poker room, is to be settled by the poker room, whose decision is stated to be final and binding in all respects, and disputes must be reported by email. There is no named external regulator, no alternative dispute resolution body and no Mexican route.
Two smaller clauses are worth knowing. Chat is restricted to English or Spanish. And commercial or professional use of the software as part of a business of betting or wagering is strictly forbidden — personal use only, which is a clause a Mexican reader treating poker as a business should read before relying on the account.
What this page will not print
No bonus amounts, no rake-race prize pools, no leaderboard figures. Promotional terms change faster than we can verify them, and a number checked weeks ago may be wrong today. Read the current offer on the operator's own promotions page on the day you sign up — and read clause 6.1.2 with it, because the withdrawal condition applies to bonus-driven deposits like any other.
We also do not present winnings as what play is worth. Mexico's live circuit and its players are recorded on our Mexico pages as sporting results, not as a forecast of anyone's outcome.

Frequently asked questions
Does YaPoker restrict players from Mexico?
Its terms do not say. We read the end-user licence agreement in full on 14 October 2026 and it contains no restricted-territory clause and no prohibited-country list; Mexico is not mentioned, and the only jurisdiction named anywhere in the document is Curacao. The agreement instead states that you may not use the site if you are connecting from a jurisdiction from which such use is prohibited — leaving the judgement to you. General information, not legal advice.
What is the 10% rake requirement?
Clause 6.1.2 states that to be eligible to request a withdrawal of any funds — including initial deposit balances, sportsbook winnings, casino payouts or horse racing returns — an account holder must generate cumulative poker rake or paid tournament entry fees equal to at least ten per cent of the total value of their cumulative deposits before withdrawal authorisation is granted. Clause 6.1.3 states that sportsbook, casino and racebook wagering does not count toward it.
Is YaPoker part of a bigger network?
Yes. Clause 6.1.1 names the Winning Poker Network and lists its rooms as Ya Poker, ACR Poker, Black Chip Poker, Americas Cardroom and TruePoker, describing the network as operating primarily as a peer-to-peer poker platform.
Who licenses YaPoker?
The agreement names no gaming regulator and no licence number. It states that the licence to play the games is governed under the laws of Curacao, that a sublicence is granted to International Processing Services S.A., and that payment processing is governed by the laws applicable to Yatahay, Limited as payments services provider. No company registration number or registered address appears in the document.
Does YaPoker hold a Mexican permit?
Its terms name none. Mexico has no standalone online gambling licence: under Article 85 of the 2004 regulation an existing SEGOB permit holder may take bets by electronic means, which is how online brands reach Mexican players. The agreement names no SEGOB permit or permit holder. Nothing in Mexican law makes it an offence for an individual to play, but there is no Mexican regulator supervising this account.
Where would a dispute be heard?
By the poker room itself. The agreement states that any controversy or dispute between players, or between a player and the poker room, is settled by the poker room, whose decision is final and binding in all respects, and that disputes must be reported by email. No external regulator or dispute-resolution body is named.
What is the minimum age?
18, and the legal age of majority in your own jurisdiction if that is higher. Clause 3.1 states that no one under 18 may use the software and that age information is verified before any funds or prizes are paid out.
