Latvian poker players: the record so far
No Latvian player profile is published here yet. Rather than fill the page with a list we have not checked, here is what we know and where the Latvian information that does exist sits.
Player profiles for Latvia are being added.
Why the list is empty
Our country money lists are assembled one profile at a time from recorded live tournament results, and each figure is read from its source page and stored with the date it was checked. Latvia has not had that pass done yet. It is a gap in our coverage rather than a statement about Latvian poker.
What we have established about poker in Latvia
Our Latvian market page is the useful one: Latvia licenses gambling operators through its tax administration, and the page covers what a Latvian licence means, who holds one, and the minimum age and tax position for players. That is the question most readers arriving here are really asking. This is general information, not legal advice.
Why the Baltic lists take care to build
The three Baltic states have small populations and share a regional circuit with each other and with Scandinavia, so recorded results are scattered across festivals in several countries. Public databases record nationality or stated residence, and for players who have moved within the region during a long career the two can diverge. A Latvian list built from the wrong field would either be empty or include players who no longer describe themselves as Latvian.
There is a second, more mundane issue: transliteration. Latvian names carry diacritics that result databases handle inconsistently, so the same player can appear under two or three spellings. Matching those correctly is most of the work in building a list like this, and it is why the list is not published until it has been done properly.
When this page will change
When the Latvian money list has been read and the profiles verified, they will appear here with their recorded earnings and the date of the check.
Frequently asked questions
Are any Latvian poker players listed here?
Not yet. The Latvian money list has not been read and verified, so no profile has been published.
Is online poker licensed in Latvia?
Latvia licenses gambling operators through its tax administration. Our Latvian market page covers what a Latvian licence covers, who holds one, and the player tax and minimum-age position. General information, not legal advice.
Why not just publish a list from a public database?
Because a list is only worth reading if it is right. Public databases record nationality or stated residence inconsistently, and Latvian names appear under several transliterations, so matching profiles correctly is most of the work — and publishing before doing it produces a list that is confidently wrong.
How are these country money lists built?
Profile by profile from recorded live tournament results, with every figure read from its source page and the date of that check stored alongside it.
