Natural8 in Indonesia: the terms say nothing, Indonesian law says no

This is the page on which the honest answer is the uncomfortable one, so we will give it first. Gambling of any kind is a criminal offence in Indonesia, online gambling is additionally an offence under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, and recent enforcement campaigns have arrested players as well as operators. Playing on an offshore poker site from Indonesia is illegal for the player.

We read Natural8's terms and conditions in full from the operator's own page on 14 October 2026. They contain no list of permitted countries, no list of restricted countries, and no mention of Indonesia anywhere — the only places named in the entire document are Curacao, Anjouan, Malta and the British Virgin Islands. The operator will not tell you whether you may play. Indonesian law already has. We would rather set that out plainly than sell you a bonus. General information, not legal advice.

What Indonesian law actually says

As our Indonesia page sets out, gambling is a criminal offence under the Penal Code, and online gambling is caught additionally by the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law. Gambling websites are blocked in large numbers. Banks and payment providers are required to freeze accounts linked to online gambling. Police campaigns running since 2023 have included arrests of players, not only of operators. In Aceh, Islamic law adds further penalties. There is no exemption for poker as a game of skill.

That is a materially different position from most of Asia, where the usual honest summary is "illegal but rarely enforced against individuals". In Indonesia the enforcement reaches individuals and the payment rails are policed.

And what Natural8's terms say about it: nothing

We searched the document for a restricted-territory clause, a permitted-country list and for Indonesia by name. None of the three is present.

Two clauses look as though they might carry a list and do not. Clause 7, RESTRICTIONS, concerns conduct — not using the site beyond the agreed purpose, not reselling or licensing the service onward, not transmitting unlawful material. Clause 14, PROHIBITED USES, covers cheating and illegal behaviour, and reserves the operator's right to prohibit any player from any game. Neither names a territory.

The closing disclaimer is the operator's actual position, and in this market it reads sharply: it is your sole responsibility to ensure that you have the legal right to use the services from within the jurisdiction you reside in or access them from; it is not the operator's intention that anyone should use the services from any jurisdiction where online gambling is illegal; the availability of the services in a jurisdiction is not to be construed as an offer, solicitation or invitation; and your participation is at your sole decision, with the full risk accepted by you.

Read against Indonesian law, that disclaimer is doing real work. The operator has not excluded Indonesia, but it has also expressly said it does not intend the service to be used where online gambling is illegal — and in Indonesia it is.

Why this page exists at all

Because readers search for it, and a page that says nothing leaves them with somebody else's marketing. Our view is that an honest explanation of the law serves an Indonesian reader better than silence or than a bonus headline.

So: we list the room because the operator makes it reachable, not because we think the position is safe. Sites are blocked, payment channels are policed, and players have been arrested. If you decide to play anyway, that decision should be made knowing the law, and it is not a decision this page is encouraging.

Who actually operates Natural8

The introduction to the terms says Natural8 is operated by Run Good N.V., registration number 150149, of 9 Abraham de Veerstraat, Willemstad, Curacao, and that Natural8 is governed solely by the laws and courts of Curacao, exclusively and without exception. Clause 26 repeats that the conditions are governed by Curacao law.

The footer adds the rest: Run Good N.V. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hume Tree Investments Limited, registration number 1902601, of the Vistra Corporate Services Centre, Road Town, Tortola, VG1110, British Virgin Islands, and Natural8.com states that it is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, under licence number ALSI-192407036-FI2.

Clause 25.5 directs an unresolved complaint to the Gaming Board of Anjouan. So the regulator, the governing law and the ultimate owner sit in three different jurisdictions, none of them Indonesia — and in a market where the activity itself is unlawful for the player, there is no realistic domestic route of recourse at all. That asymmetry is the practical risk, alongside the legal one.

Balances, verification and withdrawals

For completeness, the three clauses that matter if an account exists.

Clause 6.2 states that customer money is held in a Designated Account used solely to hold players' balances, not used for any operational purpose, and audited by third-party auditors to confirm that it matches players' total balances. Clause 6.3 states it attracts no interest. The auditor is not named.

Clause 2.1 requires a player to be at least 18 and to meet the minimum age in their local jurisdiction, and excludes employees and contractors of the operator and its group companies. Clause 3.2 commits the operator to Curacao anti-money-laundering rules, including filing suspicious transaction reports with the competent authorities while being prohibited from telling the player.

Clause 3.5 requires a copy of a current government-issued photo identity document and a proof of address — a bank statement, utility bill or tax bill dated not more than 90 days before submission — to be collected before any withdrawal request can be processed. Indonesian readers should note what that means in combination with the rest of this page: identification and address documents are collected, and the payment rails are supervised at the Indonesian end.

Payments are processed by MoneyMatrix Ltd, a Malta company registered as C64593, and by Run Good N.V.

Where Indonesians actually play

Abroad, and the record shows it. Singapore's two casinos are the nearest legal rooms, followed by Manila, Macau, Cambodia and Australia. Indonesia's best-known players built their careers overseas: John Juanda in the United States and Macau, Ferdinand Putra on the Triton series. Their profiles are on our player pages, and travelling to a licensed room is the only version of this game that comes with legal protection for an Indonesian player.

We do not reproduce bonus figures on this page, and we are not going to present winnings as what play is worth.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to play on Natural8 from Indonesia?

No. Gambling of any kind is a criminal offence under the Penal Code, online gambling is additionally an offence under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law, gambling sites are blocked, payment providers must freeze linked accounts, and enforcement campaigns since 2023 have arrested players as well as operators. In Aceh, Islamic law adds further penalties. There is no skill-game exemption for poker. General information, not legal advice.

Do Natural8's terms restrict Indonesian players?

The terms name no countries at all. Read in full on 14 October 2026, they contain no restricted-territory clause and no permitted-country list, and do not mention Indonesia; the only places named in the document are Curacao, Anjouan, Malta and the British Virgin Islands. The closing disclaimer does state that it is not the operator's intention that anyone use the services from a jurisdiction where online gambling is illegal.

Why do you list the room for Indonesia at all?

Because readers search for it and a blank page leaves them reading somebody's marketing instead. We list what the operator makes reachable and then say plainly that playing is illegal for the player here. That is not an encouragement to play.

Who licenses and operates Natural8?

Per its own terms, Natural8 is operated by Run Good N.V., registration number 150149, of 9 Abraham de Veerstraat, Willemstad, Curacao, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hume Tree Investments Limited (registration 1902601) of Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The site states it is licensed and regulated by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, under licence number ALSI-192407036-FI2.

Would I have any way to complain?

Clause 25.5 directs an unresolved complaint to the Gaming Board of Anjouan, while clause 26 puts the contract under Curacao law. Neither is Indonesian, and because the activity is unlawful for the player in Indonesia there is no realistic domestic route of recourse either.

What documents does a withdrawal need?

Clause 3.5 requires a copy of a current government-issued photo identity document, such as a passport or driving licence, and a proof of address such as a bank statement, utility bill or tax bill dated not more than 90 days before submission, collected before a withdrawal request can be processed.

Where can Indonesians play poker legally?

Outside the country. Singapore's two casinos are the closest licensed rooms, followed by Manila, Macau, Cambodia and Australia. Indonesia has no casinos, no lotteries and no licensed online gaming.
