The Cottbus house of Brandenburgische Spielbanken is the only casino in Brandenburg that deals poker, and the state's poker calendar effectively consists of its Friday evening. One tournament runs every Friday at 19:30 with a maximum field of 27 players: a freeze-out on the first Friday of the month, a half-bounty event on the second, and a rebuy tournament on the remaining Fridays. Every advertised buy-in includes a €10 house fee, the buy-in has to be paid to the floorman no later than ten minutes before the start or the reservation lapses, and payment is taken in chips only. Once the first tournament table breaks the room opens a €2/€2 cash game, normally No Limit Hold'em, which the players can convert to Dealer's Choice if they agree and the floor approves; Saturday's cash game starts at 19:30. Blackjack runs alongside it, and about 100 machines from EGT, Merkur and Novomatic open daily at 14:00. Opening hours are 14:00 to 02:00 Sunday to Thursday and 14:00 to 03:00 Friday and Saturday. Pre-registration is requested.
