WinStar World Casino Poker Room (temporarily closed)
Thackerville · Oklahoma
WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, on the Oklahoma side of the Texas border, has one of the largest poker rooms ever built in the United States — and as of 7 October 2026 it is shut.
WinStar's own poker page still describes the room it has: 55 tables, non-smoking, dedicated to cash games and tournaments, dealing No Limit Hold'em, Omaha and Congress. Directly above that description the same page carries a closure notice listing the operations that are temporarily closed until further notice: poker, bingo, off-track betting, The Ring 2 and the Red River Grill. No reopening date is given, and the notice asks players to check back.
That matters well beyond Oklahoma. WinStar sits about an hour north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and has long been the nearest casino poker room to a very large Texan population that cannot play casino poker at home. With the room closed, the live options for those players are the Texas membership card clubs and the other Oklahoma tribal rooms further north — Choctaw Durant and Riverwind among them.
Treat this record as the state of the page on its verification date. A temporary closure is exactly the kind of fact that changes without announcement.
