Bay 101 Casino
1788 North First Street, San Jose, CA 95112 · San Jose · California
Bay 101 is the poker room of Silicon Valley. The cardroom traces its roots to Sutter's Club, founded in 1929, and took its current name in 1994 when the Bumb family moved it to a site beside Highway 101 in north San Jose; in September 2017 it opened a purpose-built $100 million complex on the former airport-hotel site next door. It is best known for the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star, created by owner Marko Trapani in 1997 and the only bounty-format main event on the World Poker Tour, where seated pros carry cash bounties on their heads. The 2026 edition runs 23–27 October with a $5,300 buy-in. Cash games run around the clock, with hold'em at every limit and a strong tech-money player base.
