Norgesmesterskapet i poker 2026

Norway's national poker championship, played over ten days from 25 September to 4 October 2026 at the Thon Congress Gardermoen outside Oslo. Re-checked on 6 October 2026: the championship has finished and the organisers' programme site publishes no 2027 dates yet, so the individual event records on this site have been archived and this page stands as the record of the 2026 edition.

The programme ran far wider than a single main event. Alongside the NOK 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event, which played three Day 1 flights on a 40-minute clock from a 100,000 stack, the schedule carried a Pot-Limit Omaha championship, a Mixed Limit 8-Game, Deepstack, High Roller, Ladies, U25, Senior (50+) and Heads-Up titles, an Open Nordic Championship open to players from across the region, Mystery Bounty events in both Hold'em and Omaha, team poker, Open Face Chinese Pineapple, and a Norsk Pokerforbund beginners' tournament. Most buy-ins sat between NOK 1,250 and NOK 5,000, with regional High Roller qualifiers from NOK 1,250 and a NOK 2,500 Cashout format limited to one entry per start day.

A word on context rather than a sales pitch: Norway does not have a liberal poker market, and the national championship exists as a sanctioned exception within a tightly restricted framework. That is why it is a once-a-year, federation-organised event at a conference hotel rather than a casino festival. This is general information and not legal advice.
