Wynn's 2026 WPT World Championship adds a $400 event with $3 million guaranteed
The WPT World Championship returns to Wynn Las Vegas from 27 November to 21 December 2026 for a fifth year, and the room's own page names a new headline event: the Super Gold Million, a $400 buy-in with a $3 million guarantee.
Wynn Las Vegas has published the shape of its December festival, and the number that stands out is not the $10,400 championship buy-in. It is $400.
The resort's poker page gives the WPT World Championship window as 27 November to 21 December 2026, the fifth consecutive year the tour has closed its season at the Wynn. New for this edition is the Super Gold Million: a $400 entry carrying a $3 million guarantee, with online qualifiers through ClubWPT Gold. On the WPT's own schedule the event falls on 10 December, inside the festival window.
A $400 buy-in against a seven-figure promised prize pool is an unusually aggressive ratio, and it is the sort of guarantee that only works on volume - expect a large field and multiple starting flights. Nothing about the guarantee tells you what a seat is worth; a guarantee is a floor on the prize pool, not a statement about anyone's expected return.
Ahead of it, the same room is mid-way through the Wynn Fall Classic, 28 September to 25 October, with more than $2 million guaranteed across no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, mixed games, seniors events, satellites and nightly turbos. Between series the Wynn runs two tournaments a day totalling $200,000 in weekly guarantees, including a Friday $40,000-guaranteed rebuy and a nightly 6 pm event guaranteed at $10,000 - though those dailies stop whenever a Signature, Millions or Classic series is running.
