São Paulo gets two poker festivals at once in November — and one sells seats into the other
For most of November, São Paulo is running the two halves of Brazilian live poker in parallel. BSOP Millions takes over the Complexo WTC from 13 to 28 November with 105 scheduled events, a R$5,000 Main Event carrying a R$10 million guarantee and a R$250,000 Super High Roller Main Event. Across the city, H2's club grid runs a month-long Fun Festival from 8 November where the headline buy-in is R$450 and the cheapest entry is R$30 — and on 11 November it sold ten R$5,000 BSOP seats for R$250, pointing its own players at the bigger room.
The two schedules, read on each organiser's own site on 2 November 2026, show how differently the same city serves the same game.
BSOP Millions runs 13 to 28 November at the Complexo WTC. Its published grid has 105 numbered events. The BSOP Main Event is R$5,000 with a R$10 million guarantee and ten Day 1 flights spread over five days; the Millionaire Maker is R$1,200 with a R$5 million guarantee and its own ten flights; the BSOP Championship is R$25,000 with a R$15 million guarantee. The festival also carries the second edition of its Super High Roller Series, topping out at a R$250,000 Super High Roller Main Event with a 500,000-chip starting stack, plus 100K and 75K Super High Rollers and a rake-free R$25,000 satellite into the 250K. A Start-Up Mystery Million with a R$1 million bounty envelope opens the festival on the 13th at R$1,500. Mixed games are unusually well served for a Latin American stop: 8-Game, HORSE, Triple Stud, 20 Games Dealer's Choice, Mixed Triple Draw Lowball and a Teros event all have their own slots, and BSOP advertises cash games running 24 hours a day.
H2's Fun Festival is the other kind of festival entirely. It starts on 8 November at the club's São Paulo room and the label is still on events on 1 December. Three or four tournaments run most days, and the spread within a single afternoon is the striking part: on 10 November a R$60 Crazy Pineapple, a R$100 Mega Monster and a R$4,000 Super High Roller are all on the same grid. The 300K Main Event is R$350 for its Day 0 flights and R$450 for seven Day 1 flights, finishing on 16 November. The Tardezinha 100K that closes the festival starts at R$60. Formats lean towards the playful — Win the Button, Memory Blind Bomb, Omaha Choice — and the club also runs cacheta, truco and chess on the same premises.
The link between them is the clearest signal of how the Brazilian scene actually works. On 11 November, two days before BSOP opened, H2 ran a R$250 satellite guaranteeing ten seats to a R$5,000 BSOP event. A club whose own main event costs R$450 was selling its players a twenty-to-one shot at the festival down the road.
One piece of context behind both: Brazil licenses no land-based casinos. BSOP plays in a hotel and convention complex, H2 in a members' club, and neither is a casino floor. Buy-in figures above are as published by each organiser. Where an event name contains a figure such as 300K or 50K without the word guaranteed, that is the prize pool the organiser advertises rather than a stated guarantee, and we have not converted one into the other. Both festivals are adults-only entertainment.
