Downtown Las Vegas' only poker room has moved into the Golden Nugget's Rush Tower

Anyone walking into the Golden Nugget expecting to find the poker room where it used to be will be walking the wrong way. The resort now places the room in its Rush Tower, steps from the self-parking garage and the rideshare drop-off, with rebuilt tables carrying mobile-device chargers. The Golden Nugget continues to describe it as the only poker room in Downtown Las Vegas.

The Golden Nugget's poker page now gives the room a new address inside the resort: the Rush Tower, rather than the main casino floor where long-time visitors will remember it. The resort describes the new location as a short walk from both the self-parking garage and the rideshare drop-off, and publishes walking directions from the lobbies - a detail worth noting for anyone who has previously spent ten minutes crossing the floor looking for it.

The move came with new tables. The Golden Nugget says they were redesigned with mobile-device chargers built in, which puts the room alongside the Station Casinos locals rooms in Summerlin and Henderson, where USB charging at every seat is now standard.

What has not changed is the games. The room spreads a 3-6 limit Hold'em game for players who want fixed betting, and a No Limit Hold'em game with no cap on the buy-in for players who want to play deep. Three tournaments run every day, at 10am, 5pm and 2am, with 15,000 starting chips and 15-minute levels. The Grand Poker Series still takes over the room every June.

The claim the Golden Nugget repeats on the page is the striking one: this is the only poker room in Downtown Las Vegas. Fremont Street has lost its other rooms over the years, and a visitor who wants live poker without going to the Strip now has one address.
