Casinos Austria's Halloween weekend, re-checked: eight houses, two different flip times — and Graz now has a Halloween event of its own
Casinos Austria is running a high-hand and bad-beat cash-game promotion across eight houses on 31 October 2026, with more than €5,000 guaranteed nationwide and €400 in play at each casino. A re-read of the individual casino pages on 29 October shows the flip times differ by house — 01:00 at Baden, 02:00 at Seefeld — and corrects something we published earlier: Graz, which had not printed the promotion when we first checked, now advertises a Halloween Mystery Edition of its Big Friday on 30 October.
Casinos Austria's Halloween cash-game promotion runs on Saturday 31 October 2026 at Baden, Bregenz, Graz, Seefeld, Linz, Salzburg, Velden and Vienna. The mechanic is the same everywhere: high hands and bad beats made at the poker cash-game tables are recorded through the evening, the three highest high hands and the two highest bad beats qualify for a flip at the end of the session, and that flip decides the money. Casinos Austria guarantees a nationwide total above €5,000, with €400 in prizes at each participating house, and raffles one CAPT Million ticket worth €550 among all the winners.
The detail that differs by house
The flip does not happen at the same hour everywhere. Baden's runs at 01:00, on a session window of 17:00 to 01:00. Seefeld's runs at 02:00, on a window of 19:00 to 02:00, and pays its €200 first prize and €50 places two to five in chips rather than cash. Anyone planning to play at more than one house, or travelling for the flip itself, should read their own casino's page rather than assume the Baden timings.
Correcting our earlier report
When we first wrote this up in October we noted that Graz was named as a participating casino but that its own poker page carried nothing about the promotion. That is no longer the case. Graz now advertises a Big Friday 10K GTD — Halloween Mystery Edition on Friday 30 October at 18:00, a tournament rather than a cash-game promotion: €100 plus €20 with unlimited re-entries, a €30 mystery bounty, 30,000 chips plus a 6,000 gold bonus, 25-minute levels, and €10,000 guaranteed inclusive of the bounties. The mystery bounties switch on once the field reaches the last four tables, and fifteen weekly-tournament tickets worth €660 in total are hidden among them.
Two houses with no table open
Worth knowing before travelling: on 29 October both Seefeld and Graz carried notices on their poker pages that no cash-game table was open at that moment, even though both offer them as a matter of course. Seefeld's cash games normally run Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and before public holidays from 19:00; Graz offers them daily. Call ahead.
What comes next in Austria
Baden plays an Allerheiligen tournament on Sunday 1 November at 17:00 for €100 plus €20. Seefeld's X-Mas Mania runs 16 to 19 December with €32,000 guaranteed, and Graz plays a Krampus und Nikolo Bounty on 7 December with €6,666 guaranteed.
The prize figures above are the casinos' own published guarantees. Poker is entertainment, not an income.
