Dvoress closes to within $5m of Negreanu as Canada's money list is re-read

A reading of Canada's all-time money list on 2 October 2026 puts Daniel Dvoress at $55,680,885, about $630,000 up in three weeks and roughly $5m behind Daniel Negreanu. Fifteen names from 16th to 30th, previously undocumented here, are now published with verified totals.

Canada's all-time live money list was re-read in full on 2 October 2026, and the top of it is moving in one direction. Daniel Dvoress now shows $55,680,885 in recorded live tournament earnings — an increase of roughly $630,000 on the figure we recorded three weeks earlier — against Daniel Negreanu's $60,677,067. The gap at the top of Canadian poker, which stood at well over $10m two years ago, is now under $5m, and only one of the two totals is growing at pace.

The rest of the top ten was largely static. Sam Greenwood ($39,409,853) and Michael Watson ($38,780,706) hold third and fourth, Kristen Foxen is fifth on $19,238,670 and Jonathan Duhamel sixth on $18,009,548. The one movement of note came at ninth, where Alex Livingston added about $212,000 to reach $10,375,936 and kept clear daylight between himself and Alan "Ari" Engel on $10,136,568 — the two are separated by less than $240,000, the tightest margin anywhere in the Canadian top twenty.

Below the top fifteen the list had not been documented here at all, and reading it produced three findings worth more than the rankings themselves.

**Eliot Hudon's total is one tournament.** The Montreal player sits 21st with $4,975,613, of which $4,136,000 — about 83 per cent — came from winning the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas on 12 December 2022. His next-largest listed result, 63rd in the 2021 WSOP Main Event, paid $113,800. No other Canadian in the top thirty is so dependent on a single result, and his profile is a useful warning against reading a money-list total as evidence of consistency.

**Jamil Wakil is the only Canadian in this range at his career peak.** The Toronto player is 16th with $7,289,188, and his current global position of 313th is also the best he has ever held — a combination almost nobody else on the list shares. His recent record is a super-high-roller one: runner-up in the GG Million$ at the Onyx series in Kyrenia, Cyprus in August 2025 for $650,000, third in the ONYX Championship eight days later for $585,000, and third in the Jupiter Event at Triton Jeju in March 2026 for $632,000.

**Two careers show how far the list has moved past them.** Andrew Chen, 19th, is 430th globally against a career-best 147th; Haralabos Voulgaris, 20th, is 460th against a best of 163rd. Neither total has fallen — prize pools have simply inflated faster than either career now grows, and the spread between a player's current and best-ever rank is the clearest measure of that.

Also newly documented: Eric Afriat, 17th on $6,472,541, whose three WPT Main Event titles (Seminole Hard Rock 2014, Borgata Winter 2018, Fallsview 2020) make him the most decorated WPT player Canada has produced. Fifteen players from 16th to 30th are now published with verified career totals, taking the site's Canadian player coverage from fifteen profiles to thirty.

All figures are recorded live tournament earnings in US dollars as published by The Hendon Mob, read on 2 October 2026 and attributed on each profile. They exclude cash-game play, which no public database tracks.
