R$15 million guaranteed in one event: inside Brazil's November festival
BSOP Millions runs sixteen days at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo from 13 November, with a R$10 million Main Event and R$15 million on the Championship — and events from R$1,000 in the same room.
Brazil has no permanent casino card rooms. What it has instead is the Campeonato Brasileiro de Poker, and once a year that tour puts on something that would be a major festival anywhere in the world.
**BSOP Millions** runs 13–28 November 2026 at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo. Five headline events carry it:
- **Start-Up Mystery Million**, 13–18 Nov — R$1,500, R$1 million guaranteed in the mystery envelope - **Main Event**, 16–23 Nov — R$5,000, **R$10 million guaranteed** - **Millionaire Maker**, 18–24 Nov — R$1,200, R$5 million guaranteed - **BSOP Championship**, 21–28 Nov — R$25,000, **R$15 million guaranteed** - **Uma Milha**, 24–28 Nov — R$1,000, R$1 million guaranteed
A Super High Roller Series runs alongside from 13 to 23 November with buy-ins above R$30,000, opening with a R$50,000 invitational.
**The spread is the interesting part.** A R$1,000 event and a R$50,000 event in the same building in the same fortnight, and a R$1,200 tournament carrying R$5 million guaranteed. Very few festivals anywhere ask so little at the bottom while guaranteeing so much at the top. BSOP also runs cash games across a range of stakes throughout each stage, with a Mystery Cash promotion paying up to R$1 million.
**Then it moves to the beach.** The 2027 season opens at Sauípe Resorts on the Costa do Sauípe in Bahia, 22–30 January — a resort stop roughly two hours north of Salvador, and the one players most often travel to with family. The full schedule was not out as of mid-September; satellites will run on PokerStars.
**What this says about the market.** Brazilian live poker is concentrated into travelling festivals at hotels and resorts rather than spread across standing card rooms, which is the opposite of Britain or Germany and closer to what we found in Poland last week — except that where Poland's tour runs freerolls and takes its buy-in events to Bratislava, Brazil's guarantees R$15 million at home.
