British Poker Series Championship takes over Genting Stratford with £150,000 guaranteed

Genting Casino Stratford's published schedule shows the British Poker Series Championship occupying the London card room from 3 to 11 October 2026, with the regular weekly tournaments running alongside it.

What is on

The festival's largest event is the **BPS Championship Main Event**, £260 plus a £40 fee with **£150,000 guaranteed**. Five Day 1 flights are listed — an early bird on 7 October at 19:15, two on 9 October, one on 10 October and a hyper flight at 13:30 on 11 October — all starting with 25,000 chips and keeping late registration open to level 12. Day 2 is at 16:45 on 11 October.

Below it sit the **BPS200 Championship Edition** at £200 + £35 with £100,000 guaranteed, whose closing flights played on 3 and 4 October, and the **BPS Mini-Main** at £135 + £25 with £30,000 guaranteed, running flights on 4, 6 and 7 October.

The side events are smaller but varied: a **Ladies Event** at £100 + £20 with £3,000 guaranteed opened the festival at 11:00 on 3 October, a **PLO 4/5/6** mixed Omaha tournament at £170 + £30 with £10,000 guaranteed plays on 8 October, and a **FAST Closer** at £135 + £25 with £5,000 guaranteed ends the week on 11 October.

The satellite route is unusually cheap

What stands out on the schedule is how aggressively the Main Event is fed. Super satellites at **£40 + £10** run on 5 and 6 October awarding five and ten seats respectively, and mega satellites at the same price on 9 and 10 October award **twenty seats each**. Fifty pounds into a tournament with a £300 entry and a £150,000 guarantee is the sort of ratio usually seen online rather than in a British card room, and the mega satellites land on the same days as Main Event flights, so a qualifier can go straight from one to the other.
