Slatina, Croatia, Croatia
Matija Dobric is the most successful tournament player Croatia has produced. Born in Virovitica and resident in Slatina, he tops the Croatian all-time live money list with just under $2.59 million in recorded winnings. Almost all of that came from a single run: fifth place in the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas, worth $2,250,000 and still his best live cash by a wide margin. He has continued to play the Las Vegas summer, cashing the WSOP Main Event again in July 2026. The Hendon Mob also credits him with roughly $937,000 in online tournament winnings, and his all-time money list rank has slipped from a peak of 777th to 1,224th as the global field has grown around him.
