strategy
Way ahead / way behind
Also: WA/WB
A situation where your hand is either a big favourite or a big underdog against the opponent's likely holdings, with few cards that change the picture. The standard play is to keep the pot small: check and call rather than bet and get raised.
Example. Holding A-K on an A-7-2 rainbow flop against a tight player: you are way ahead of A-Q and way behind A-A or 7-7, so you check the turn to control the pot.
