Return on investment: a tournament player's profit divided by total buy-ins, expressed as a percentage. A long-term ROI of 20–30% is very good in large-field events; sample sizes of thousands of tournaments are needed to trust the number.

Example. Profit of $12,000 on $60,000 of buy-ins is a 20% ROI.
