Which hands resteal?
Hands that benefit from folds and have blockers — suited aces, suited broadway hands, and small pairs when a shove is available. Medium offsuit hands are the trap: strong enough to feel playable, not strong enough to continue when four-bet.
How does stack depth affect it?
Enormously. In tournaments, around fifteen to twenty-five big blinds a resteal is often a shove, which maximises fold equity and avoids playing out of position. Deep, it is a three-bet you must be willing to play after the flop — restealing deep without that plan is how stacks get lost.
