Poker term
Re-entry
Buying back into a tournament after being eliminated, as a fresh entry with a new stack, for as long as late registration is open. Distinct from a rebuy, which tops up your existing stack.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a re-entry and a rebuy?
A rebuy tops up the stack you still have, or replaces it at the table you are already sitting at. A re-entry means you have busted, left, and bought a brand-new entry — often into a later starting flight.
What does unlimited re-entry mean?
You can buy in again as often as you like while registration is open. It inflates the prize pool and favours players who can afford multiple bullets.
