A share of the rake a player has paid that the poker room returns to them, either as a direct percentage or through a loyalty or rewards scheme. For high-volume players it can be the difference between winning and losing.

Is rakeback the same as a bonus?
No. A bonus is a one-off promotion, usually released as you clear rake. Rakeback is ongoing and proportional to how much you play.
