A range made up of very strong hands and bluffs with little in between. Large bets are typically polarised: you either have it or you are representing it.

When should you polarise?
On later streets, particularly rivers, and in spots where your opponent's range is capped. The middling hands are left behind because they would rather check and win at showdown than bet and get raised.
What bet size goes with a polarised range?
A large one, often an overbet. Big bets maximise value from the strong half and maximise pressure from the bluffing half, and the bluffs can be more numerous because the size requires a higher fold frequency to break even.
