Pre-Flop Raise: the percentage of hands a player raises before the flop. Compared with VPIP it shows whether a player enters pots aggressively or by calling.

Example. VPIP 24 / PFR 20 describes a tight-aggressive regular; VPIP 40 / PFR 8 a loose-passive one.
