A style that plays many hands and plays them aggressively. In skilled hands it is the most profitable style because it puts constant pressure on opponents; in unskilled hands it is the fastest way to go broke.

A loose-aggressive player: entering a wide range of pots and playing them with sustained aggression, so opponents face difficult decisions in almost every hand.
Is loose-aggressive better than tight-aggressive?
Potentially, and only in skilled hands. It wins more pots and more value, but it also means playing marginal hands in big pots on later streets — which punishes any weakness in post-flop judgement. For most players a solid TAG style earns more.
How is a LAG different from a maniac?
Control. A LAG's aggression is selected — chosen for board texture, position and opponent — while a maniac's is indiscriminate. From across the table they can look similar for an orbit; over an hour the difference is obvious.
