Poker term
Hyper-turbo
A tournament with extremely fast blind levels, often just two or three minutes online, so that the whole event is push/fold almost from the start. Spin & Go games are hyper-turbo by design.
Frequently asked questions
What is a hyper-turbo?
A tournament with very short levels, often three to five minutes, and a shallow starting stack. Play reaches push/fold territory within the first few levels.
Is a hyper-turbo mostly luck?
More than a deep-stacked event, yes — there is less room for skill to compound. But the edges in push/fold accuracy are real and repeat quickly, which is why specialists still beat them over volume.
