Tommi Lankinen is having the best stretch of his career right now. Two fourth places at EPT Barcelona in August 2026, a Master Classics of Poker title in 2023, and a Global Poker Index ranking of 484th — far above what his lifetime earnings alone would produce.

A very recent peak
Lankinen's biggest cash is six weeks old at the time of writing: 4th in the €10,300 EPT High Roller at Barcelona on 27 August 2026 for €279,400, recorded as $325,603. Two days earlier at the same festival he had finished 4th in a €10,250 Pot Limit Omaha event for $121,647 — two deep high-roller runs in one week, in two different games.
That is what the GPI ranking is picking up. The Global Poker Index scores recent results on a rolling basis rather than totalling a career, so 484th in the world against a lifetime rank of 2,395th says plainly that he is playing well now.
The Master Classics title
On 14 November 2023 he won the Master Classics of Poker Main Event in Amsterdam — a €2,750 event — for €218,714. The MCOP at Holland Casino Amsterdam is the oldest festival in continental Europe and winning its Main Event is a genuine career marker rather than a leaderboard result.
Finland's list
$1,462,113 places him 22nd among Finnish players all-time, with three recorded tournament wins. His global rank of 2,395th is close to his best-ever of 2,374th, which is unusual on these lists and is simply a function of still climbing.
