GGPoker Canada: GGPoker.ca in Ontario, the international site elsewhere
Canada is one of GGPoker's biggest markets, but it is really two markets. Ontario regulated online gambling in April 2022 and GGPoker serves the province through GGPoker.ca, licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and operating under iGaming Ontario. Players in the other provinces and territories use GGPoker's international site. This guide explains both routes.
GGPoker
Home of the WSOP Online, GGPoker runs the biggest guaranteed tournaments and the busiest cash games online. Locally licensed skins (GGPoker.uk, GGPoker.de, GGPoker.nl, GGPoker.ca in Ontario) serve regulated markets.

Ontario: GGPoker.ca
If you live in Ontario you must play on GGPoker.ca. It is licensed by the AGCO, which means identity verification before you deposit, deposit and time limits you control, self-exclusion through the provincial system, and Ontario-only player pools for cash games. Tournaments on the Ontario site are ring-fenced too, so fields are smaller than on the global network, though the WSOP Online series and other big events run Ontario editions. Deposits are in Canadian dollars by Interac e-Transfer, card or e-wallet.
The rest of Canada: the international site
Outside Ontario, online poker sits in a grey area: provinces run their own lottery-corporation sites, and playing on an international room has never been an offence for the player. GGPoker accepts players from the other provinces on its international platform with the full global player pool — the WSOP Online bracelet series, the weekly GGMillion$, Bounty Hunters and GGMasters series, Rush & Cash and the Fish Buffet rewards programme — with a CAD cashier and Interac support. Our province pages note where the picture differs, and ClubWPT Gold offers a sweepstakes alternative across most of Canada.

Canadian poker
Canada has produced Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel and Alex Foxen among many others, and live poker thrives at Playground near Montreal and the casinos of Niagara, Toronto and Calgary. Our Canada page profiles the players and lists the venues. If gambling stops being fun, ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) and the provincial helplines offer free, confidential support.
