River Texas, Rio de Janeiro

A Rio de Janeiro poker club in Barra da Tijuca, on the top floor of Bloco 5 at Avenida das Américas 3120. It is one of the two Rio clubs that publish their own tournament calendar, and the busier of the two on the week we read it.

The club runs its own festival, the Circuito River. On the published early-November 2026 calendar that circuit's Main Event is a one-day Mystery Bounty with R$50,000 advertised as the guarantee, starting at 18:00, with a promotional first-level buy-in of R$150; a R$40,000 High Roller Experience follows at 18:00 two days later, and a R$5,000 Last Chance freeroll sits between them. Around the circuit the club lists an afternoon R$3,000 Tardezinha at 15:00, a satellite awarding three high-roller seats, and a Cash Game Especial that runs 15:00 to 23:00. A midweek 10K Deep Stack carries a R$150 buy-in and re-entry with a R$200 add-on. The club also promotes an online tournament on a partner site, which is not played on the premises.

Two poker directories still list River Texas at Avenida Ayrton Senna 4701, sala 205, in Jacarepaguá, under the same telephone number the club publishes today. The Barra da Tijuca address above is the one on the club's own site and should be treated as current; the Jacarepaguá address appears to be a former home.

Brazil licenses no land-based casinos, so poker here is played in a members' club under the game's standing as a sport of skill, not in a casino. Opening hours and a table count are not published.
