Surrender Turnier — Casino Baden (Wednesdays)
30 Sept – 30 Dec 2026 · Casino Baden, Austria
A format with no pay ladder: reach the money and you take the same prize as the winner.
What makes it different
In almost every tournament the prize pool is a curve — first place takes a multiple of the min-cash, and each pay jump on the way up is worth playing for. The Surrender Turnier removes the curve entirely. Casinos Austria's own description is that everyone who finishes in the money receives an identical payout, and that the field paid is calculated at roughly 15 per cent of the physical entrants.
How that changes the play
The money decision collapses into a single question: do you finish inside the paid 15 per cent. Before the bubble, chips matter; after it, they do not, because there is no larger prize to ladder towards. Expect the bubble to be the most consequential stretch of the night and the stretch after it to be played fast — which is presumably the point of the name.
Where to find the figures
The poker overview page for Baden announces the format and the weekly Wednesday slot but publishes no buy-in, stack or clock. Those are in the room's own tournament calendar.
